49 year old John A. Davey who worked as a ticket agent for NJ Transit has been arrested for tricking passengers into buying fake tickets and keeping the cash for himself.

Authorities said that Davey, has been a ticket agent for 29 years, and had been placing signs reading “no cash” on the ticket vending machines at the New Brunswick train station, and selling cash-paying customers forged tickets when they came to the ticket counter.

An officer was injured and three teenagers were taken into custody as police tried to break up an after-school brawl near Erie and Torresdale Avenues yesterday afternoon.

One officer was pushed to the ground and injured suffering bruised ribs.
