Steph Curry and Viola Davis have teamed up to produce a documentary on the 2015 Charleston church massacre. The movie chronicles the fatal shooting at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in South Carolina where nine black people were killed.
“Emanuel” will feature interviews with family members and survivors who were left to pick up the pieces after 21-year-old white supremacist, Dylann Roof walked into the church and opened fire.
Curry’s production company, Unanimous Media, describes the documentary as a “poignant story of justice and faith, love and hate, and the healing power of forgiveness.”
