Former first lady Michelle Obama received the biggest applause at the ESPY Awards last night as she slayed a cutout dress by Cushnie et Och.
After receiving a standing ovation upon being introduced, we knew that Obama gave a heartfelt speech presenting the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage to Special Olympics founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver.
“She knew that when we give others a chance to fulfill their greatest potential, we all win,” Obama
With Eunice Kennedy Shiver creating the Special Olympics in the 1960’s that turned the event into a global sensation, Obama describes Shriver as a champion if people with intellectual disabilities.
“Through her passionate service she made the world more welcoming,”
Shriver son, Tim, accepted the award on her behalf.
“Once a great first lady, still a great first lady.”- Obama
