The beginning of June marks the return of Philly Beer Week, the ten-day festival that draws thousands of craft beer lovers from across the country and around the world.
Running now through June 11, Philly Beer Week has everything from standard pub crawls and tap takeovers to large block parties and beer festivals.
To all my beer lovers, remember “Philly Beer Week is a marathon, not a sprint.”
TEEN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER OF 7 YEAR OLD SISTER

18 year old Simere Alford is in custody after his younger sister was found unresponsive with a bag over her face in the Olney section of Philadelphia.
Police say it appears he attempted to strangle or suffocate his 7-year-old sister, who remains on life support.
Alford was arrested after being found in the backseat of a police car at the 35th District headquarters. Police say he got in the vehicle through an unlocked door. That’s where Alford allegedly told police he “did something stupid.”

Philadelphia Councilman David Oh Attacked
Philadelphia City Councilman David Oh is expected to make a full recovery after being stabbed during a robbery attempt outside his home on the 5800 block of Thomas Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia.
Investigators are searching the neighborhood to see if any surveillance cameras captured images that will help them track down Oh’s attacker.
