I Found God In Myself: The 40th Anniversary Of 'For Colored Girls' VIP Opening Reception

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Ntozake Shange’s For Colored Girls: Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf, The African American Museum in Philadelphia presents a FREE screening of the original 1982 PBS taping.

The original For Colored Girls stars Oscar Nominee and Emmy-Winner Alfred Woodard. It is a story of seven women who suffered oppression in a racist and sexiest society. This theater piece consist of poetic monologues incorporated with dance moves and music.
