Just when you thought you heard it all. Baytown TX, Pastor Benny Holmes was inside his church The Church of New Beginnings Tuesday morning sometime after 6:00am when he a heard the noise of an intruder trying to break into the house of worship. Holmes then armed himself and shot a man once in the shoulder. It’s still unclear to why the man was trying to break into the church in the first place yet. The wounded man was rushed to the hospital, but police believe he will likely survive his injury.
Oh, but according to sources this is not the first run in with guns and robbers for pastor Holmes. The same pastor made national headlines last year when he caught a grandmother stealing packages from his porch and held her down at gunpoint until officers came.
But who can blame him, especially after the Charleston massacre which resorted in the death of nine innocent church goers, I’m just saying. But we really must do something about these gun laws!
