The Golden ‘GO HAVE A SEAT WAAY OVER THERE’ Award Goes to a 30-year veteran nurse at Uniontown Hospital in Pennsylvania who dropped a newborn boy, fracturing his skull. The baby’s mother says a doctor told her the nurse was “drowsy” and fell asleep burping the baby when he fell out of the nurses hands.
The new baby initially had to wear a neck brace. Could you imagine a one day old baby wearing a little tiny neck brace.? My heart shattered when I heard this story. But, thankfully the little solider is expected to recover and is now eating on his own.
And as for that nurse, well, I’m sure she has her own guilt to deal with.
