Singer/producer Akon has been busy lately trying to supply electricity to over 600 million people in Africa who lack it with the launch of the Solar Academy. The academy is located in Bamako, Mali, the Solar Academy will help African engineers and entrepreneurs develop skills that will enable them to produce solar power. Experts will be there to help with training and equipment.
Now, see, I personally think this story should have been the one to “break the internet” instead of everyone worrying about someone who is clearly too rich and bored that he went and changed his whole identity. There should be memes praising the hip hop innovator who actually cares about humanity and uses his money and resources to help others. But hey, that’s just me!
