1998 was a great year for music and especially for Lauryn Hill. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill topped the Billboard charts, was certified eight times platinum, earned Ms. Hill 5 Grammy’s and launched her into super-stardom. Most fans and critics a like will say that this album in on their “greatest albums” list, now The Library of Congress seems to agree.  Once a year The Library of Congress chooses 25 songs to add to their National Recording Registry. The Library of Congress chooses songs that are “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” and are at least 10 years old,” clearly they think that Miseducation makes the grade! Congrats to Lauryn.  She will be performing in Philly this weekend so if you see her, show her some love!
