John Travolta has not starred in a TV series since “Welcome Back Kotter” but he will return to the small screen in a big way. FX will air a new series called American Crime Story which will focus on a real life crime story each season. The series debut will focus on The OJ Simpson trial and John Travolta is set to play defense attorney Robert Shapiro. Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. will play OJ, Friends star David Shwimmer will Robert Kardashian and Sarah Paulson will play prosecuting attorney Marcia Clark.
