Shonda Rhimes Owns Thursday nights. Last weeks’ ABC season premiers featured three of Ms. Rhimes productions, Greys Anatomy, Scandal and, the new kid on the block, How To Get Away With Murder. If you checked in with social media at all last Thursday it was clear that ‘Murder” is a bona-fide hit. Well, the ratings seem to agree with the general population. ‘Murder’ beat out its lead in “Scandal’ by 2 million people. We’re not ready to sing “After The Love Is Gone” to Olivia Pope and her Gladiators just yet, the salacious drama’s ratings were up from last fall. No matter, I’m quite sure the watch parties and the social media post frenzies will continue all season long. Good going Shondaland TV! Shonda Rhimes is the god of ABC Thursdays and millions across the country are hooked!
