Today, I was inspired by a picture of fruit flavored water I saw on Pinterest. I decided to make some detoxifying water to help me kick my caffeine and sugar addiction while I participate  Daniel Fast. I must say they are working like a charm!

Cucumber Detox Water

Fruit WaterThe fruit waters are simple to make and I encourage you to try a variety of combinations of fruit and herbs. Please use only fresh herbs and wash fruit thoroughly. Okay, the water pictured on the left above is the Cucumber detox water. This is a wonderfully refreshing drink which is a great morning replacement for coffee. All you need to make this is:

  • 1 glass mason jar (24 oz)
  • 8 to 10 thinly sliced pieces of cucumber
  • 5 to 7 thinly sliced pieces of lemon
  • 3 to 4 mint leaves
  • Dice some fresh ginger into 10 small pieces
  • Spring or filtered water

Simply add all of the fruit and herbs into the mason jar. Add the water and fill it to the top. Refrigerate the mixture overnight. The next day transfer your mixture to a 32 oz container and add water until you fill it to the top. Now you have a refreshing drink that equals half of the water intake you should have in one day.
