*If you missed the broadcast last night, Tyler Perry’s drama “For Colored Girls” won the best picture award at the 42nd National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards.

The film, which featured an ensemble cast including Janet Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Thandie Newton, Loretta Devine, Anika Noni Rose, Kimberly Elise and Kerry Washington also won for outstanding director for Perry and supporting actress for Kimberly Elise.

While Halle Berry won for Best Actress for her performance in Frankie & Alice, it was her dress that had most people talking. Halle wore a Pucci show-stopping number which featured a bold print and an even more eye-catching neckline.

Also, Sofia Vergara (pictured above with Halle Berry) won for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her work in “Modern Family.” Vanessa Williams picked up a Best Actress award for her work on “Desperate Housewives.”
