Corn is one of the most common side dishes in our country, even the world. So good that we make it a main dish, eating if right off the cob. The term ‘Corn on the cob’ is a culinary term for a cooked ear of sweet corn eaten directly off the cob. Ears of corn are steamed, boiled, or grilled usually without their green husks, or roasted with them

Where was corn on the cob originate?

According to NDSU.edu, Scientists believe people living in central Mexico developed corn at least 7000 years ago. It was started from a wild grass called Teosinte. Teosinte looked very different from the corn we know and love today. The kernels were small and spacious compared to the close-knit kernels on the husked ear of modern corn.
