The Bishop Eddie Long scandal has us all talking and comtemplating the deeper issues that lie beneath the surface! They felt it was safe to turn the church, specifically the Bishop, to get the spiritual guidance, direction and love they were missing. To put it in perspective, it is simple cause and effect; if these young men weren’t void this love and attention at home there would be no Eddie Long sex scandal.
The effect of single parent homes can yield a multitude of issues. My personal testimony of growing up in a fatherless home resulted in me becoming a victim of domestic violence! Although different than the victims in the Bishop Eddie Long case, it is all relative. Bottom line is broken girls and boys grow up to become broken men and women!
