The U.S. Senate recently passed two bills that will help to fund for HBCUs. The HBCU Partners Act requires federal agencies to annually help schools with grants and other programs. The HBCU Preservation Program was reintroduced to help find grants to repair and restore historic buildings on campuses.  Senator Kamala Harris is a co-sponsor of the legislation. She said, “I’m thrilled that the United States Senate has passed the legislation to ensure the federal government is working hand in hand with HBCUs to keep them strong.” Do you have hope that HBCUs will continue to exist for years to come?
