If you recall the story of Michael White, you know he was riding his bike doing food delivery late one night when he was approached by another man, Sean Schellenger and from there the story gets blurry. Next thing we know White fatally stabbed Schellenger. White has been in jail for weeks without bail facing a life in jail sentence. A spokesperson for White claims the tragic incident was in self defense.
Today, that changed. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner withdrew the first-degree murder charge for Michael White. White is now charged with third-degree murder, and voluntary manslaughter in the death of Sean Schellenger. The change in the charge made White eligible for bail and he is home now.
