NFL DRAFT ROAD CLOSURES
The NFL draft along the Ben Franklin Parkway starts Thursday. So, in order to make that happen, more road closures are set to take effect.
Starting tonight at 7 p.m. Phase 3 of traffic restrictions will begin, which includes the closure of all lanes of the Parkway from 20th Street to the Art Museum.
The three-day festival will take place Thursday, April 27th through Saturday, April 29th on the Ben Franklin Parkway
‘POT PARTY’ RAID
Philadelphia police say 22 arrests were made and 50 lbs of marijuana was seized when they raided a massive “pot party” organized via social media over the weekend.
The “Philly Smoke Session” was held Saturday night inside a warehouse on the 4500 block of Worth Street in the city’s Frankford section.
Police say this was basically a giant gathering of people selling and smoking pot.
LARGE GROUP OF TEENS RIDE BIKES DOWN I-676
A large group of teenagers rode bikes down I-676 in Philadelphia Sunday. The incident was captured on cellphone videos.
Officials say it’s the first time they’ve seen a group that large riding bikes down a highway as busy as the Vine Street Expressway. Police say no injuries were reported.
