According to TMZ, Nia Long was described as a complete nightmare on the set of Empire. It was so bad that the hair and makeup artist launched an official complaint. Multiple cast, crew and production were also complaining about her behavior, saying that she was completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
It was reported that Nia and Taraji were even at odds on the set.
“Taraji was irate over the way Nia treated the staff, and it got so bad producers were trying to figure out how to shoot scenes with the two of them where each actress did their part separately.”
Sources told TMZ that Nia was “habitually Late” and would have Terrence Howard and Taraji P Henson waiting around for 30 minutes before she would arrive on set, that’s if she did arrive. They would sometimes need to use fill- ins for her so Terrence and Taraji could rehearse.
With all the negative comments taking place Nia Long’s rep stated:
“We are not aware of any complaint, suit or case against her from anyone involved in the show, and we find the timing of all of these stories to be very suspicious, given that the series returns tonight.”
