President Barack Obama named 21 recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the Nation’s highest civilian honor
The 21 honorees include Ellen DeGeneres, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill and Melinda Gates, Cicely Tyson Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro and singer Diana Ross. Educators and scientists were also on the list.
The awards will be presented at the White House on November 22th.
