Congrats to Tracee Ellis Ross in making history as the first black woman in three decades to receive an Emmy nomination for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series for her role as Rainbow Johnson in ABC’s hit show ‘Black-ish’

Gladys Knight & The Roots To Perform On The Same Stage

Gladys Knight and Philly’s own The Roots will be sharing the same stage for the opening of the new Smithsonian National Museum Of African American History And Culture in Washington, DC. The 3-day Freedom Sounds Festival will begin Friday, September 23rd and the museum will officially open Saturday, September 24th. President Obama is also scheduled to speak.
Mary J. Blige’s Estranged Husband Reportedly Wants Spousal Support

Mary J. Blige’s divorce from her manager and husband Martin “Kendu” Isaacs has taken a turn for the complicated, with Isaacs financial demands coming to the light.
According to TMZ, Isaacs requested for spousal support and financial assistance for lawyer fees. The details were included in Kendu’s response to the singer’s divorce petition.
