CICELY TYSON TO RECEIVE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Actress Cicely Tyson’s career will be celebrated during this year’s Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference.
The CBC Foundation announced that the 91-year-old actress, along with Richard Roundtree and Dionne Warwick, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 20th Annual Celebration of Leadership in the Fine Arts.
The event will take place Sept. 14 in Washington, D.C.

Kerry Washington Developing Female LAPD-Based Drama At ABC
The “Scandal” star is set to executive produce “Patrol,” a workplace drama about four female LAPD officers who attended the police academy together five years ago and are forced to reconnect after a high-stakes, traumatic secret returns to haunt them.
The project will be the first under Kerry Washington ’s new overall deal with ABC, which she inked in April to develop new projects for ABC Studios.
