SINGER CHRIS BROWN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT CHARGE

Police arrested singer Chris Brown yesterday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after a woman called hours earlier from outside his Los Angeles home and said she needed help.

The arrest followed an hours-long standoff and lengthy search of Brown’s home after police produced a search warrant.

Chris Brown has been released from jail after posting $250,000 bail.

Atlanta music icon Gladys Knight is suing her son, demanding that he stop using her name.

According to the lawsuit, Knight no longer wants her name and image on any signs or promotions for the chicken and waffles restaurants.

 

 

The First Commercial Flight From U.S. To Cuba Takes Off

For the first time in more than 50 years, regularly scheduled commercial service from the U.S. to Cuba has departed today. JetBlue is one of six airline carriers approved for flights.

But before US citizens can board flights to Cuba, they will need to sign an affidavit swearing their travel falls within the permitted categories, including educational, religious and humanitarian reasons.
