Pearl Theatre In North Philly Closes

The Pearl Theatre at Avenue North closed over the weekend, ending a decade-long run on Temple University’s North Philadelphia campus.
It will be replaced by “the city’s first high-end” movie theater from AMC Theatres.
Son Beats Parents To Death
28-year-old Ryan Coles of has been charged with killing his parents, 58-year-old Edward Coles, Jr. and his wife, 55-year-old Rosemarie Coles inside of their West Deptford NJ home
Authorities say Ryan may have used a chair to beat his parents to death.
Sources say Ryan Coles struggled with mental illness, which led to several police calls to the home over the year but no arrests.
Fire At a West Philly Church

A massive fire burned through century-old Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church on the 6400 block of Lansdowne Avenue. in West Philadelphia this morning sending flames through the roof, darkening the sky with smoke and causing major damage to the building.
It took about two hours for more than 100 firefighters to bring the blaze under control.
