It looks like another biopic is on its way, and this time it’s all about Queens native rapper Roxanne Shanté. The film is currently being filmed in her hometown and will show Shanté’s journey from the 14-year-old rapper to the hip-hop legend.
Roxanne Roxanne, is scheduled to debut in 2017, with co- producer Forest Whitaker and Nia Long playing her mother.
The 46-year-old Queens native, whose birth name is Lolita Shanté Gooden, shared a photo of Nia earlier in the week
