Make sure you say a prayer for the Williams sisters’ father, 74 year Richard Williams, who has suffered a stroke. The stroke was so severe that their father–who famously trained his two daughters to become the tennis champions they are today– now has massive memory loss. “He needs speech therapy, psychological therapy and physical therapy but for now he refused,” Richard’s wife, Lakeisha Williams, told the tabloid.
Richard has since been released from the hospital. It’s incredible that Venus and Serena still continued win big at the 2016 Wimbledon games with their dad’s condition on their minds. He would definitely be proud of them both.
