In an effort to make a doll for every girl to identify with, Matel has released three new Barbie body types, curvy, tall and petite. The dolls also now feature seven skin tones, 22 eye colors, 24 hairstyles and lots of trendy fashions and accessories.
Barbie has gone through many changes over the years, but Matel has never tampered with the unrealistic body structure, until now. This latest Barbie upgrade is considered the company’s most dramatic change in Barbie’s 57-year history.
A curvier Barbie is on the latest cover of Time magazine with the message: “Now can we all stop talking about my body?”
