According to Philly.com, employees in City Hall 311 call center were sent home today after an infestation of bedbugs were found in the carpet, city officials said.
Employees were fielding citizen inquiries in the lead-up to the arrival of the pope, were sent him at 1p.m., according to Mayor Nutter’s spokesman.
McDonald said he has not heard of other offices in City Hall being affected.
“We’re dealing with the problem in the appropriate way,” he said.
