Police are currently surrounding Lil Wayne‘s home in Miami, Florida after shots were fired earlier Wednesday afternoon, reports TMZ.
Miami PD are on the scene at La Gorce Island after someone called 911 claiming shots were fired and four people were injured. The person who called dispatch was not present at the time of the suspected shooting. Police say the “veracity” of the caller’s voice is more than enough for them to believe the call wasn’t a hoax.
The rapper was not home at the time of the alleged shooting.
Officials added that just 11 days prior, a man was seen lurking around the rapper’s home. When police arrived, the man stated he was invited by Wayne and was let go.
Over 15 police officers are currently on the scene. Many of the homes are surrounded by gates. It is unknown if the gunman is in the home.
More to come as the story develops.
