Karissa Peppers, of Bordentown, New Jersey, has been charged with creating a false Amber Alert.
The Amber Alert was activated last night after Peppers reported her 5-year-old daughter missing around 8 p.m. Peppers allegedly told the authorities that her car was stolen and her daughter was in the car.
Authorities found out later that the little girl was actually asleep at a relative’s home and was never in danger.
