The Jackie Robinson West Little League squad will play the team from Seoul, South Korea, in the Little League World Series championship game
The Chicago squad, made up predominantly of inner-city kids, took a 4-3 lead into the top of the fifth inning, but a two-out, two-run home run from Bradley Stone gave Mountain Ridge a 5-4 lead heading into the bottom of the inning.
But the kids from Chicago would not quit.They will always fight!
Fight is exactly what it did, scoring three runs, taking back the lead from a team that entered the game having outscored its opponents 33-5.
Nevada tried to fight back in the top of the sixth. It got two runners on base with just one out, but a 1-6-3 double play, capped off by a sensational stretch at first base, sealed the victory.
