After a year of entertaining us the Arsenio Hall show has been cancelled and will not return for another season.I will ask the question everyone is asking WHY? Hall had the hippest studio ,the best looking band ,great guest and so much more to offer than the regular guys.
Here’s what Arsenio had to say about the cancellation:
“When I started this adventure , we all knew it would be a challenge — I’m gratified for the year we’ve had and proud of the show we created. The show premiered with a respectable 1.5 household rating (and, more importantly, a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49). The show dropped 60 percent in the key demo within its first several months. A visit from Prince saw ratings spike up 56 percent in March, tying Jimmy Kimmel that night, but it basically boiled down to being too little too late.What ever the case there are not enough shows that have African Americans in the lineup ..Why is it that every time there is a successful show by an African American that somehow the powers that be find it necessary to look for the needle in the haystack ,well whatever the case is im sure that The Aresenio Hall show will get picked back up maybe Oprah or Tvone .hmmm
