After giving a quick weather, sports and news update, Philly Speaks host Senator Vincent Hughes got right into the Sunday, November 3rd show.
The week’s special guests included Robert C. Nelson, President and CEO of OIC and Chairman of Philadelphia Jobs Commission, as well as Economist, Dr. Julianne Malveaux. The topic at hand was one that hits home for many Americans today, creating jobs and the economy. The discussion was interesting and insightful and ended on a positive note, as Senator Hughes listed several area companies that will be hiring tons of people over the holidays, such as Target, Macy’s and Toys R Us.
In between the main topic of the day, Senator Hughes also took a few moments to discuss the upcoming November 5th Election. He welcomed Amir Khan and Dana Reed, both Camden Mayoral Candidates. They briefly talked about the election and encouraged everyone to get out and vote this coming Tuesday.
