Today, people use resources like Twitter, Facebook , and Instagram for reckless nonsense. It seems as if people don’t realize the power of the social media. Social networks join millions of people together instantly,but sometimes as a people it seems we use if for the wrong things. We develop trending topics such as #thingsblackpeople say which tend to demean cultures and allow negative people an excuse or a pass to throw out racial slurs, or even seemingly harmless topics such as #ijustwant to know. “All in all,” with social media being such a powerful tool, why don’t we use it for more than just fun and foolishness? Are we using social media for the right cause?
