Brandy (pictured) can now truly say, “that boy is mine!”
The R&B singer’s boyfriend of two years, music exec Ryan Press, finally put a ring on it and the couple is ecstatic about the fact that they are getting married. An insider told US Weekly with regards to the proposal, ”They are thrilled and happy and Brandy feels this is so right.”
The marriage will actually be Brandy’s first, although the singer purported to be married before she gave birth to her daughter Sy’rai.
In early 2002, at the same time Brandy announced her pregnancy, she also touted the fact that she had married Robert Smith, a music producer and the father of her child in the summer of 2001. At the time of the announcement, Smith was involved with another woman, a film producer. He managed to balance both relationships at first but then had to cut his ties with the other woman after Brandy publicly spoke about their nuptials.
