Michael Moore wants all his fans to boycott “the murderous state of Georgia” because of the Troy Davis execution. “I encourage everyone I know to never travel to Georgia, never buy anything made in Georgia, to never do business in Georgia,” he writes on his website. Moore pledges to have his publisher yank his new book from stores in the state, “and if they won’t do that I will donate every dime of every royalty my book makes in Georgia to help defeat the racists and killers who run that state.”

Georgia doesn’t care. “We think it’s cute that he thinks anyone in Georgia would buy his book, but if any Georgian does, I’m happy to double the royalties and buy a pack of gum for a charity of Michael Moore’s choice,” a spokesman for Gov. Nathan Deal tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Davis’ sister, meanwhile, tells the AP she won’t waste time on anger and will instead continue to fight against the death penalty.
