Father’s Day wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t get a cold beverage into Dad’s hand as he enjoys his big day. If you need ideas beyond the usual gifts, we’ve put together a handy collection of cocktails that should do the trick.
It’s been a rather rough June for me on all kinds of levels, so I’ve been looking forward to Father’s Day personally. I’m hoping for a bit of peace, a lot of sleeping in, food, and whatever kindness my family and the world want to show me. I don’t even think I’m going to have a beverage stronger than a coffee, but that doesn’t mean I won’t sip something.
When you write about cocktails and adult beverages, you’re always on the hunt for a break in the action. So, in that spirit, no pun intended. I looked around and saw that I had a bottle of PHILTERS’ alcohol-free spirit, Jynn, and a case of Bear Maple Farms Sparkling Ginseng Tonic. This simple mocktail is super easy to make and can be tailored to your tastes. Now, I’m going to share the name of this on-the-cuff creation and save your tomatoes, please.
Jynn & Bear It (Mocktail)

Ingredients:
2 Oz PHILTERS Jynn
4 Oz Bear Maple Farms Ginger Citrus
Directions:
In a double rocks glass or high ball, fill the glass with the ice of your choosing, pouring the Jynn in first and then topping with the ginseng tonic to taste. Optionally, you can garnish this drink with your citrus peel of choice.

Ingredients:
0.5 oz Bols Amaretto
0.5 oz Sloe gin
1.0 oz Southern Comfort
2.0 oz Orange juice
1.0 oz Fresh lemon juice
0.2 oz Sugar syrup
3. Banana Peel Old Fashioned

Add ice to a rocks glass. Add the whisky, syrup, and bitters, and stir well. Garnish with banana chip.
4. Basil 75

Shake all ingredients and strain over a large cube, top with prosecco or sparkling wine
5. Belaire Bowler

1/2 ounce simple syrup
1 ounce Villon
4 ounces Belaire Luxe Rose (or enough to fill)
Garnish: fresh strawberries
6. Blind Pig

Ingredients
2 oz. Remus Straight Bourbon
1–2 dashes Angostura bitters
A few flakes of smoked salt or bacon salt
1 tsp. maple syrup
1 sliced crispy bacon for garnish
Method
Pour all ingredients into a rocks glass. Stir with ice to combine ingredients. Garnish with a crispy bacon slice.
7. Brown Sugar Shaken Oat Milk Latte

Ingredients:
1.5oz Baileys Coffee Toffee Non-Dairy Liqueur Made with Oat Milk
1 shot Espresso
2 tsp Brown Sugar
Brown Sugar Cold Foam*
0.5oz Baileys Coffee Toffee Non-Dairy Liqueur Made with Oat Milk
3oz Oat Milk
1 tsp Brown Sugar
Preparation: Froth with a frother for 30 seconds or until tripled in size.
Glassware: Highball Glass
Garnish: Cinnamon Sprinkle
Method:
Combine Baileys Coffee Toffee Non-Dairy Liqueur Made with Oat Milk, espresso and brown sugar in a shaker. Add ice and shake for 20 seconds. Pour into a highball glass, top with Brown Sugar Cold Foam* and garnish with a cinnamon sprinkle.
8. Buchanita

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Buchanan’s DeLuxe
4 oz Pineapple Juice
Garnish: Pineapple Leaf
Glassware: Rocks/Lowball
Glassware: Rocks Glass
Garnish: Pineapple Leaf
Method:
Vigorously shake Buchanan’s DeLuxe with the juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Pour over a rocks glass filled with ice cubes and garnish with a pineapple leaf.
9. Chamomile Honey Martini

1.5 oz Tanqueray No. TEN
0.75 oz Chamomile Honey Syrup
0.5 oz Lemon Juice
1 dash Vanilla Saline
Garnish: Dehydrated Lemon Wheel
Glassware: Coupe Glass
Method:
Add all ingredients to an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel.
10. Classic Manhattan

Ingredients:
2 oz Carpano Antica Formula
1 oz Whiskey (Four Roses Single Barrel is pictured)
2 Dashes of Bitters
Garnish: Maraschino Cherry
Method:
Stir the ingredients with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
11. Cowboy Candy Margarita

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Código 1530 Blanco
1 oz fresh lime juice
0.75 oz agave nectar
1 tbsp cowboy candy (candied jalapeños)
Tajín + lime wedge for rim
Instructions:
Muddle cowboy candy in shaker. Add tequila, lime juice, and agave. Shake with ice and strain into a Tajín-rimmed glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and jalapeño slice.
12. Frenchie Negroni

INGREDIENTS
3/4 OZ ST‑GERMAIN
3/4 OZ MARTINI RISERVA SPECIALE BITTER
3/4 OZ MARTINI® ROSSO SWEET VERMOUTH
3/4 OZ BOMBAY® SAPPHIRE GIN
ORANGE TWIST
DIRECTIONS
Add ice into a mixing glass. Pour in all of the ingredients. Stir until it’s perfectly diluted and chilled. Pour over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
13. Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop

Gin & Juice gets its name from the classic track from Snoop Dogg, produced by the legendary Dr. Dre. Now, that song is immortalized by way of the Hip-Hop veteran’s canned cocktail offering.

14. Godfather (The Deacon)

Method:
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into glass over fresh ice
Garnish with brandied cherry and orange peel.
15. Golden Nail

2 oz Aberfeldy 12 Single Malt Scotch whisky
1 bar spoon of local honey
2 dashes Angostura bitters
2 dashes orange bitters
Add the honey syrup, bitters and Aberfeldy 12 Years Old to a mixing glass, add ice and stir to dilute. Pour into a rocks glass. Add some cubed ice. Cut and twist an orange zest expressing the oils over the drink and discard.
16. Green and Ginger

Ingredients:
2 oz Nearest Green Tennessee Whiskey
4 oz Ginger Ale or Ginger Beer
Garnish: Lime Wedge
Method:
Fill a rocks or Collin’s glass with ice. Add Nearest Green Tennessee Whiskey. Top with your preferred Ginger Ale or Ginger Beer to taste. For a sweeter drink, use Ginger Ale, for more spice, use Ginger Beer. Garnish with a lime wedge.
17. Guava Highball

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Johnnie Walker Black Label
4.5 oz Guava Soda
Glassware: Highball Glass
Garnish: Lime Wheel and Tajín Rim
Method:
Build ingredients into an ice-filled highball glass and stir. Garnish and enjoy
18. Lemon Wedge

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Dewar’s 12 Year Old
2 oz Lemonade
3 oz Club Soda
Directions:
Combine Dewar’s 12 Year Old and lemonade in a highball glass over ice, top with chilled club soda and stir, garnish with a lemon wedge.
19. Marquis Daiquiri

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Crown Royal Marquis Blended Canadian Whisky
1 oz Pineapple Juice
0.5 oz Lime Juice
0.5 oz Simple Syrup
Directions: Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a coupe glass and top with dehydrated lime wheel garnish.
20. Non-Alc Matcha Tini

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Seedlip Grove 42
2 oz Prepared Matcha
0.5 oz Honey Syrup
Garnish: Matcha Dust
Glassware: Martini Glass
Method:
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a dusting of matcha powder.
21. Ocho Old Fashioned

INGREDIENTS
2 OZ BACARDÍ RESERVA OCHO RUM
1/4 OZ SIMPLE SYRUP
2 DASHES ANGOSTURA® BITTERS
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients into a rocks glass. Fill with ice. Stir well until mixed and very cold. Garnish with an orange peel twist
22. Old Fashioned (Villon)

Ingredients:
2 oz Villon
Several dashes of bitters
1 Brown sugar cube
1 Large ice cube
Garnish: Twist of orange peel
Method:
In a rocks glass, place the brown sugar cube and saturate it with the bitters. Muddle until the sugar is mostly dissolved. Pour in the 2 oz of Villon, add the large ice cube and stir gently until well chilled and slightly diluted. Express the orange peel over the drink to release the oils, then drop it into the glass.
23. Paradise Pops

Ingredients:
1½ parts Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey
2 parts Soda Water
1 part Pineapple Juice
Method: Pour Teeling Whiskey in a rocks-filled Collins glass. Add soda water and top with pineapple juice. Garnish with pineapple slices.
24. Peach Smash

Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Old Parr 12
.5 oz. Peach Syrup
.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
Fresh mint
Glassware: Rocks Glass
Garnish: Fresh Mint
Method:
Lightly muddle fresh mint and place in bottom of rocks glass. Combine Old Parr 12, peach syrup, fresh lemon juice and fresh mint in a cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain into the rocks glass over the mint. Fill rocks glass with crushed ice and garnish with a fresh mint bouquet.
25. Reverse Manhattan

1 oz ANGEL’S ENVY Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
2 oz Noilly Prat® Rouge
4 dashes of Angostura® aromatic bitters to taste
Garnish: Cherry, orange or lemon peel
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients into a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir for 20-25 seconds to dilute. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry, orange or lemon peel.
26. Ryeteous Shandy

Ingredients:
2 oz Chicken Cock Whiskey Ryeteous Blonde
3⁄4ozfresh lemon juice
1⁄2oz honey syrup(1:1 honey towater)
2 ozwheatbeer orblonde ale
Lemon wheel for garnish
Instructions:
Shake whiskey, lemon juice, and honey syrup with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Top with wheat beer and gently stir. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
27. Sandia Margarita

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Tequila Don Julio 70 Cristalino
0.75 oz Lime
1.5 oz Watermelon Juice (or 4 Fresh Watermelon Chunks)
0.5 oz Agave
1 Jalapeño Wheel (Muddled)
1 Pinch of Salt
Garnish: Watermelon Half
Glassware: Rocks Glass
Method:
Combine ingredients into a shaker – if using fresh watermelon chunks, muddle watermelon prior to adding ice to the shaker. Strain into rocks glass with ice. Garnish with Watermelon half – bonus pinch of Tajin
28. Spicy Summer Spritz (Mi Campo)

1 1/2 oz Tequila Mi CAMPO Blanco
1 1/2oz Fresh Lime Juice
1oz Simple Syrup
2 cubes Watermelon
1 sliced Jalapeno
Top with Prosecco
Tamarind Rim paste (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine Tequila, lime juice, watermelon, and one circular slice of jalapeno. Muddle until thoroughly blended. Add ice and shake for 30 seconds. Strain into a Tajín rimmed wine glass over ice. Top with Prosecco and garnish with watermelon slice or jalapeno slice for an extra kick.
29. Spritzing into Summer

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Ritual Aperitif Alternative
2.5 oz Soda Water and/or prosecco
Garnish: Orange Slice
Glassware: Wine Glass
Method:
Fill a wine glass to the brim with ice. Top with soda water and/or prosecco. Garnish with a slice of orange for additional zest.
30. Summer Beats 75

1oz DELEÓN Reposado Tequila
0.5oz Agave Syrup (1:1)
0.5oz Fresh Lemon Juice
1.5oz Champagne or Prosecco
Glassware: Coupe Glass
Garnish: Lemon, Mint, and Green Grape Garnish
Method:
Add DELEÓN Reposado, agave syrup, and lemon juice into a shaker. Shake and pour into the coupe glass using a strainer. Add sparkling and top with garnishes.
31. Summer Shandy

INGREDIENTS:
2 parts Knob Creek Bourbon
3/4 parts freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
3/4 part raw sugar syrup
3 dashes of Angostura bitters
2 parts Lager Beer
METHOD:
Combine all ingredients, except for lager beer, in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously, Strain into a double rocks glass over fresh ice, Top with 2 ounces of lager beer and briefly stir, Garnish with a lemon wedge.
32. Summer Solstice Negroni

Ingredients:
0.75oz Astral Tequila Reposado
0.75oz Italian Aperitif
0.75oz Sweet Vermouth
3-4 Strawberries
Garnish: Strawberry + Mint Sprig
Glassware: Rocks Glass
Method:
Add all ingredients to an ice-filled mixing glass. Stir for 10 to 12 seconds. Add 3-4 strawberries and steep for two hours. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with a strawberry and mint sprig.
33. Super Citrus Margarita

Ingredients:
3 oz Marcado 28 Blanco Tequila
2 oz Triple Sec
2 oz fresh orange juice
2 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz fresh lemon juice
Dash of citrus bitters
Agave syrup (for rim)
Ground dried hibiscus flower (for rim)
Black lava salt (for rim)
Garnish: Orange, lemon, and lime “Volt” decorative slices
Instructions:
Rim a cocktail glass with agave syrup, then dip into a blend of ground hibiscus flower and black lava salt. Fill the glass with ice. In a shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, triple sec, orange juice, lime juice, lemon juice, and a dash of citrus bitters. Shake vigorously. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice. Garnish with orange, lemon, and lime “Volt” slice for a vibrant finish.

Ingredients:
2 oz Bumbu Original
6 oz Ginger Beer
Lime Squeeze
Method:
Add ginger beer to rocks glass over ice. Top with Bumbu float and a squeeze of lime.
36. Tropical Coconut Margarita

Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila
1 oz. Coconut Purée
.75 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
1 Pinch Cinnamon
Garnish: Unsweetened Coconut Flakes
Method:
Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Add ice, shake vigorously and strain into a rocks glass. Add fresh ice and garnish.
