The Weeknd has reached another major milestone in his career, this time in his own backyard. The Canadian superstar sold out four nights at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, officially breaking the record for the most shows by a male artist at the popular venue. These concerts are part of his globe-spanning After Hours Til Dawn tour, which has already shattered attendance records in several cities.

Each night, fans packed into SoFi to experience a show unlike any other. The setlist featured newer tracks from Hurry Up Tomorrow, including “The Abyss,” “Cry For Me,” and “São Paulo,” alongside major hits like “Starboy,” “Blinding Lights,” and “Can’t Feel My Face.” The production was nothing short of cinematic, complete with fire effects, lasers, golden ruins, and a massive statue centerpiece. The Weeknd, born Abel Tesfaye, performed with 30 dancers dressed in red cloaks, giving the entire show a dramatic, almost operatic feel.

Opening acts Mike Dean and Playboi Carti set the tone for each night before The Weeknd took the stage, further building anticipation for what’s become one of the most talked-about tours of the year.

This isn’t the only record The Weeknd has broken on this tour. In New York, over 163,000 fans attended his MetLife Stadium shows—more than any other event that weekend, including the Governors Ball. He also became the top-grossing Black male artist in MetLife Stadium history and set a new attendance record for an R&B artist at Boston’s Gillette Stadium.

Beyond the music, The Weeknd is using his platform to create positive change. In partnership with Global Citizen, one dollar from every ticket sold on the tour goes toward supporting children in vulnerable communities around the world. Fans can also earn free tickets by taking action to fight global poverty through the Global Citizen platform.

As the After Hours Til Dawn tour continues, The Weeknd is not just breaking records—he’s setting new standards for what it means to be a modern global music icon.
