Two of the pound for pound best players in the history of the NBA have joined forces, making power movies with a major media company.

Allen Iverson, and Shaquille O’Neal are the center of attention in a new series ‘Power Moves’, which documents the rebrand of Rebook, through the lens of O’Neal (President of Reebok Basketball), and Iverson (VP).

“June 4 @netflix” Iverson posted on Instagram

These two icons both signed with Reebok during their illustrious NBA careers.

Iverson signed a lifetime deal with Reebok in 2001 following his initial five-year contract with the brand. In 1998, O’Neal ended his initial deal with Reebok and pivoted to make his own line of more affordable sneakers. More than 20 years later, he’d rejoin the company to lead its entire basketball division.

In the midst of a rebrand and a resurgence of the WNBA, Reebok struck gold, with their newest face of the league in Angel Reese.

Reese signed with Reebok in the same month Iverson and O’Neal’s roles were announced, a move Shaq credited to Portia Blunt, Reebok senior vice president of Global Product.

O’Neal knows that the rebrand will not be an easy feat, going up against other premier sports brands like Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour; but Diesel (O’Neal) is not backing down and has a message for his competitors.

“I know it’s not going to be easy relaunching Reebok,” O’Neal said. “We’re going up against some major brands, however, we on your ass.”
