Well, it seems that this was inevitable, the end of an “Empire.” The Fox music drama will end with the upcoming season.
“We’re excited to see to this show go out with a bang,” said Fox Entertainment’s chief executive, Charlie Collier.
“Empire” had seen declining ratings kicking it out of the top ten network shows. Executives for Fox declined to say if the fall in ratings or the decision to cancel the show was due to Jussie Smollett’s recent scandal in Chicago.
Fox also announced that there would be a time change for the upcoming season to Tuesdays at 9 pm which would put it against ABC’s “This Is Us.”
