3am this morning the Beyhive was front and center in front of their Netflix ready for Beyonce’s Homecoming documentary. The doc is 2 hours and re-airs her entire Coachella performance from last year with a behind-the-scenes look at what went into it. She also released a new song, a remake to Frankie Beverly’s ‘Before I Let Go’ (listen above)

She talks about her struggle with being pregnant with the twins Suri and Rumi

I had an extremely difficult pregnancy. I had high blood pressure, developed toxemia and in the womb one of the babies heart beats paused a few times so I had t get an emergency c-section.

About preparing for Coachella

It is my first time back home, on the stage, after giving birth. I’m creating my own homecoming and it’s hard. There were days I thought I would never be the same physically my strength and endurance would never be the same.

On work-life balance

My mind was not there. My mind wanted to be with my children. What people don’t see is the sacrifice. I would dance and go off to the trailer and breastfeed the babies. Just trying to figure out how to balance being a mother of a six year old and of twins. It’s not like before when I could rehearse 15 hours straight. I have children, I have a husband, I have to take care of my body.
