Don’t call Gabrielle Union a basketball wife.
Gabrielle Union was an established actress before meeting and marrying NBA player Dwyane Wade.
She does not like the term “basketball wife”and wants to know why it can’t be that Dwyane is her “hollywood husband.”
She said that there are no stereotypes or terms for men who marry successful women. It’s only in the reverse.
Gabrielle continued, I met Dwyane after getting divorced and failing miserably at marriage. I was already me and fully formed, financially solvent and educated.
