Fans don’t miss a thing. When Marvel released the poster for Avengers: Endgame on Thursday, people noticed an omission.
Danai Gurira, who plays Wakandan General Okoye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was featured on the poster but her name was not given top billing like the other stars pictured.
People immediately contacted Marvel on social media asking why? One person wrote, “Every actor who appears on the poster has their name listed at the top………except Danai Gurira, the one Black woman.”
Marvel got the message. Within hours they changed the poster to put Gurira’s name at the top. Marvel tweeted the updated poster saying, “She should have been up there all this time.”
