Mary J Blige is in a new Netflix series, The Umbrella Academy. It is an adaptation of the superhero comic book series.
She said she went all the way for the character, Cha-Cha. She did a lot of her own stunts and even had to pull glass from her face!
Her fellow cast members said Mary J. Blige was a hard worker. They said she was up at 6am on a Saturday doing martial arts while they were still asleep.
They described Mary as “badass” but also as the “sweetest human who also loves tequila.”
The Umbrella Academy streams on Netflix February 15th.
