Terri Vaughn called in this morning to talk about a new holiday movie she directed, Merry Wishmas. The movie is about a successful businesswoman who has not been back home to Columbia, South Carolina in years. She returns home hoping it will be a peaceful time and it doesn’t turn out that way. Movie stars Tamela and David Mann, Kim Fields, Towanda Braxton, Yung Joc and more. Quincy asked Terri whether Yung Joc was acting or acting-acting. READ MORE BELOW

He is playing himself but I met Yung Joc years ago when I moved to Atlanta and I opened an acting studio for actors to come train and Yung Joc was one of my students. Maybe about 5 years ago. So when this part came about and we brought up Yung Joc I was like, ‘oh yeah he can do it.’ I love people who train in their craft, who train to do what it is they want to do. So I knew that he had put in some work.
