The pop superstar is so real, in fact, the she declined an offer to headline the Superbowl Halftime show in support of ex-NFL player, Colin Kaepernick. According to UsWeekly, a source says, Rih just can’t get down with the NFL’s stance when it comes to kneeling during the National Anthem. “The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year’s performer in Atlanta,” a source told UsWeekly. “They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. She doesn’t agree with the NFL’s stance.”
After Rihanna declined, CBS and the NFL offered the opportunity to Maroon 5.
