After turning himself in last month, Trey Songz have remained quiet about the ordeal and seems to be catching a break from the case as well.
Songz turned himself in last month after receiving a domestic violence charge after a woman named Andrea Buera who accused him of assaulting her a a Hollywood Hills party. She claimed that Songz assaulted her because she spoke with another man at the party causing her to get a concussion.
The Los Angeles District Attorney is rejecting the felony criminal charge allegation against Trey Songz after his lawyer, Shawn Holley, presented numerous witness accounts that contradicted Buera’s statements, according to TMZ. Holley also reportedly supplied the D.A. with other information about Buera’s credibility.
The case isn’t completely over yet as the Los Angeles City Attorney will decide whether to charge Trey Songz with a misdemeanor domestic violence charge or not.
