A new study says going to concerts on a regular basis can mean better health and a longer life. The U.K. study says 20 minutes of live music increased people’s ‘sense of well-being’ by 21 percent – better than activities such as yoga or walking the dog.

Concerts also boost self-worth by 25 percent and mental stimulation by 75 percent. Researchers say attending a live concert at least once every two weeks could extend your life by up to nine years.

But you won’t get the same health benefits just by playing your favorite live album – the study says the “shared experience” of a live concert is the essential part.
