National Geography is developing a new series inspired by film Hidden Figures. Hidden Figures was based on a novel written by Margot Lee Shetterly which told the true story of the black female mathematicians who played a huge part launching the United States’s space program.
Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae and more stared in the film in 2016.
The TV project is in the early stages of development but, it will be produced by Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping. National Geographic is currently pushing for more scripted shows. Hopefully everything works out! This will be a great show for people to learn more.
