Haddish said that her encounter with Beyoncé was a way to stop her from fighting one of the guests at a party. Beyoncé tried to diffuse the situation by encouraging Haddish “to have a good time,” to which she responded “I’m only going to have fun if you take a selfie with me.” Beyoncé complied, and the rest is history:
